The following describes the supporting documentation that must accompany the completed account Application Form:

UK Registered Companies:

1. Certificate of Incorporation or Certificate of Registration for VAT. However, it may be necessary to ask you for further information.

2. Board Resolution authorising the opening of the account with Cornhill FX (not required for sole proprietors) and a Mandate for the operation of the account.

3. For each person, listed below, please send ONE of current identification e.g. passport, photo ID driving licence, National ID card etc. and ONE proof of address e.g. bank statement, council tax bill or utility bill (not mobile phone) which is less than 3 months old.

One or more directors
All signatories with powers to operate the account.
All beneficial owners and/or all principal shareholders*

If any of these persons is a Non-UK Resident both documents must be certified by a regulated or professional person such as a notary, lawyer, banker, financial intermediary or accountant. The full name, address, occupation, date and signature of the person who is certifying must be evident – if possible, an official stamp should be used.

* A beneficial owner is defined as an individual who ultimately owns or controls 25% or more of a company. A principal shareholder is defined as a shareholder who owns or controls 10% or more of a company
